Before you bring us into the business
Know the product.
Know the people.
Clear expectations are part of a useful business system. Here is what to expect from ABS today.
The people you will work with
Eric Martin, Principal Systems Architect, leads systems and software. Grant Leffler, Creative Operations Director, leads creative execution. We are based in Kansas and work with businesses nationwide. Meet the team ↗
Early access, with an agreed starting point
We confirm your required workflows, current availability, data needs, and responsibilities before starting a paid pilot. The $99/month platform includes ten full users and all supported core modules. You receive a starting scope, any optional service or usage costs, and a readiness check. Billing starts when the agreed workspace is ready.
Your records and exports
Your business retains ownership of the records it supplies. The connected workspace includes a JSON record export, and itemized estimates include CSV export. Export your records before ending access; agree any additional migration or retention needs during onboarding.
Public demos use fictional data held in browser memory. Demo takeoff documents are transient. Live workspaces store uploaded originals privately and retain saved estimate drafts, line items, and measurement references. Keep your original bid documents in your own records.
Workspace access
The live application requires sign-in and organization access. Its operations records use tenant-scoped database policies and role checks. Workspace owners and administrators can manage members and workspace-wide permission levels, subject to seat capacity. Employee-only access is limited to assigned work and permitted schedule and time tasks. Permission changes are recorded; roles do not change the subscription. These controls are part of the product; we do not claim an independent security certification. We will discuss your security requirements before agreeing to handle sensitive data.
Field photos and location
Assigned technicians can capture guided job photos with visible timestamps and reviewed captions. GPS is optional, off by default, and requested only for a camera capture; it does not track employees in the background. Device-selected photos show their selection time rather than claiming an original capture time. Photo labels describe the chosen prompt, not an automatic assessment of image content.
AI is a review tool
Document extraction sends the selected document to the configured AI provider. It produces draft quantities and source references for estimator review. It does not establish a guaranteed takeoff, supplier pricing, or a complete bid. Manual drawing takeoff remains available without paid extraction.
Support and implementation
Product support covers questions and defect reports by email, with a two-business-day initial response target. Guided onboarding, custom development, custom integrations, ongoing data entry, and emergency coverage are optional, separately scoped work. Core feature access is included; paid provider consumption and any allowances or spending limits are agreed before activation. See software, setup, and service pricing ↗
Where specialist tools still fit
Financial visibility is operational reporting, not a general ledger, payroll system, or payment processor. Optional QuickBooks and Xero connections import invoice and bill balances; an authorized administrator must connect and enable them. Optional Stripe-hosted checkout supports one-time USD invoice payments, with provider fees separate and refunds held for review. These connections do not provide bank reconciliation, payroll, or tax filing. An already loaded field page can retain reports, files, and signatures for later submission; opening the app offline is not guaranteed. Customer self-service portals remain outside the current scope. We confirm what ABS can replace and what should stay connected to your existing tools.
Website measurement
We use Vercel Web Analytics on supported deployments to understand page visits and actions such as opening demos, viewing pricing, and completing inquiries. Custom funnel events exclude names, emails, uploaded files, and form contents. URL query strings are removed from analytics events, and the integration respects the browser’s Do Not Track setting. Inquiry details are sent separately to the ABS team to respond to your request.
